CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

White Card

This UoC is also known as the White Card is mandatory for anyone wanting to undertake construction work at a workplace or mine site. Place your students in safe hands and give them the very best industry-based safety awareness training ahead of entering the workforce. Upon successful completion students are provided with a White Card, Statement of Attainment and registration with the Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry Regulations and Safety.

Entrance Requirements

Due to age restrictions required for entering a construction site, students must be a minimum age of 15 to undertake this training.

Course Content

Learning outcomes include:

  • Identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work
  • Identify construction hazards and risk control measures
  • Identify health and safety communication and reporting processes
  • Identify incident and emergency response

Delivery Mode

Due to the nature of the content, our preference is to deliver this course face to face. This must be delivered by our qualified and experienced safety practitioners, either at SIDE in Leederville, or our trainers can deliver this on the school site. We may be able to deliver this online in certain circumstances.

Note: To avoid any delays to training due to technical issues, the host school will need to provide a projector and laptop for face to face delivery.
